Rowdy is a border collie/jack russell terrier mix. He was born on June 23rd, 2001. Right from the very start it was evident that Rowdy was destined to be a superior athlete. His drive and enthusiasm was unparalleled in the litter.Rowdy competes in flyball racing and in the sport of canine disc (aka frisbee). He is a member of the Northern Borders Flyball Team, lending his speed to the A team which is named after him > Northern Borders Rowdy Bunch.
In addition to competing in dog sports, Rowdy also performs with Team K9 at fairs, exhibitions, and charity events in Southern Ontario.
Rowdy is also a two time World Finalist in the sport of canine disc, having placed 6th in the MicroDog division at the Hyperflite/Skyhoundz World Disc Dog Championships in 2005 and 2006.

Away from sports and competition, Rowdy is a loyal and loving companion to his owner & trainer, Jackie Parkin. He enjoys snoozing on the sofa and hanging out in the yard with his canine house-mates. Rowdy also enjoys a good game of recreational fetch, and in the hot weather he loves to swim in the Grand River.
